In teaching, one source of satisfaction would be seeing improvement in a student's performance. An effective way of yielding improvement is the consistent giving of feedback - positive and negative. In SS, we have this daily News Report. Every time a pair/ group reports, the teacher and students from the audience are asked to give points for improvement and commendation.
